InfoSec20 - The InfoSec division turned 20 years old
We at SOCWISE are thrilled to celebrate the 20th anniversary of our InfoSec division. Since 2008, we have been building robust security solutions, but our expertise dates back even earlier, with roots in EURO ONE's foundational work in the early 2000s. Over the past two decades, we've grown from a vision to an essential player in IT security and network integration.
Our story began within EURO ONE, a Hungarian IT company which has been specialized in IT devices and services. It was clear from the start that to thrive in this market, it was essential to pair commercial knowledge with exceptional technical expertise. EURO ONE forged partnerships with leading manufacturers and assembled a highly skilled team that has remained at the core of our success.
By 2008, there was an increasing need for network and security services, which led to the birth of the InfoSec division. This new venture was led by industry experts Péter Sajó and Balázs Imre, who joined forces with EURO ONE to create a unique, highly effective business unit. Their combined experience in IT system integration and security, honed in previous roles at a multinational company, allowed InfoSec division to launch with a substantial impact. We started with a team of just seven experts, but we have since grown significantly and today boast more than 50 professionals and several competence centers.
We were able to achieve remarkable early success in the banking sector, and through the development of IT security systems and competencies—including the application of SIEM technology—we gained a strong presence in the Hungarian public administration sector and among major corporations.
Our philosophy of rapid adaptation to technological changes and innovation has always set us apart. We introduced next-generation firewalls and SIEM technology to maintain a competitive edge, and soon expanded our capabilities by establishing an Information Security Advisory Team. Later, we extended our security monitoring solutions with SOAR systems, and our reach expanded beyond Hungary with notable international projects.
A significant milestone for us was joining NATO's supplier network, where we continue to serve as a qualified NATO supplier on numerous projects. In 2020, we formed SOCWISE to better serve international markets with our managed services portfolio. Initially focused on expanding our presence internationally, SOCWISE has since taken a leading role in delivering managed services in Hungary as well, addressing the needs of both domestic and international clients. Thanks to our consistent efforts, SOCWISE is now recognized as a key player in Hungarian IT security and network integration markets.
Our continued growth has been supported by a dedicated team and strategic partnerships in several European regions, including the DACH and Benelux areas. Our commitment to professional excellence and the rapid mastery of technological innovations forms the backbone of our success. We work closely with strategic manufacturers, continuously training our specialists to stay ahead of the latest technological trends. We also emphasize practical knowledge transfer and customer support to ensure our solutions are effective and well-suited to our clients' needs.
