AI in operations – when the server becomes a service provider
The world of IT operations is no longer just about technical tasks. The demand for business efficiency, scalability, and automation is becoming increasingly important in every organization. But how can a company go beyond being a simple "server" and operate as a true service provider in IT?
The challenge: repetitive tasks, rising costs
Almost every IT operations team struggles with a multitude of repetitive, time-consuming, and low-value tasks that hinder daily operations. These tasks not only tire professionals, but also limit business flexibility.
EURO ONE and HPE's joint three-month pilot project sought to address precisely these challenges. The goal: to develop a solution that would make operations a unified, transparent, and cost-controlled process.
The answer: HPE Morpheus and GreenLake
The project focused on HPE Morpheus, an orchestration platform that takes infrastructure management to a new level, not only technically but also commercially.
Morpheus allows a complete environment – operating system, application, database – to be installed with just a few clicks, always in the same way, at the same cost and with the same time investment.
The result: predictability, consistent documentation, and predictable operation.
Business value in IT
Morpheus has more than 75 integrations (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, Azure, Ansible) and supports multi-tenant environments, allowing different business units to manage their resources independently within their own budgets.
The system also generates reports and cost analyses, helping managers make data-driven decisions.
The platform also supports CI/CD processes and container environments, covering the entire spectrum of modern IT operations.
AI in the service of operations – AIOps in practice
There is no question that AI has recently appeared in all areas, and operations are no exception. Every day, we see that we perform many tasks that are repetitive, monotonous, and require serious attention—such as analyzing log files, examining trends, or optimizing resources. AI can perform these tasks much faster, more accurately, and more consistently than humans.
That is why capabilities known as AIOps have already appeared in the Morpheus system. Together with the OpsRamp monitoring solution, these capabilities can optimize performance and costs and make recommendations on how to operate an environment more efficiently.
Another important advantage is that the Morpheus agent can collect data at the operating system level, allowing the system to perform deeper analysis and make more accurate recommendations for intervention.
In-house developed AI solutions to support operations
EURO ONE has also developed two AI-based solutions that specifically support operations:
- AI Assistant for Zabbix: an artificial intelligence system developed for the Zabbix monitoring system that automatically analyzes incoming alerts. The system examines the type of device and error, suggests troubleshooting steps, and even recommends specific commands for detection. It also provides a brief summary of how to avoid similar problems in the future.
- AI-based patch analysis: this solution automates the evaluation of system updates (patches). Based on the CVE database, AI examines which vulnerabilities are addressed by a given update, prioritizes patches, and generates a report that is transparent not only to the IT team but also to management. This allows responsible decisions to be made about which updates should be installed immediately and which can be postponed.
AI takes operations to a new level
At EURO ONE, we don't treat AI as a trend, but as a real solution: a tool that can transform the way we operate. Our goal is to introduce AI not as a separate technology, but as an integral part of our operations — where it has the greatest impact: in decision-making, automation, and efficiency.
The AI solutions we have developed have already proven that they create real business value: they ensure faster response times, lower error rates, more transparent operations, and more predictable resources.
This not only makes the work of IT teams easier, but also makes the entire organization more predictable and flexible.
